Feedback is a Gift

Receiving feedback effectively is to listen with an open mind, take time to analyse, and then thinking of the best possible solution to be better. It provides positive criticism in areas which are being ignored, blindsided or overlooked.

Not many like to hear constructive criticism or negative feedback. However it is necessary so one can improve personally and professionally.

At workplace, leaders may consider doing a 360-degree feedback, which is a participatory process through which feedback is gathered from an employee's subordinates, peers, supervisor, as well as a self-evaluation.

The feedback is then used for coaching and development, facilitated by experienced and qualified coaches.

The purpose of coaching in the workplace is to assist individuals to better understand one’s strengths and weaknesses. It is also a safe place to contribute insights into aspects of their work needing professional development.
